Courses
Basic Life Support
Basic Life Support (BLS) is the foundation of emergency medical care and is aimed at providing immediate care to individuals experiencing life-threatening emergencies such as cardiac arrest, choking, or drowning. BLS techniques include Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use, and relief of choking in adults, children, and infants. It is typically provided by laypersons, first responders, and healthcare professionals such as emergency medical technicians (EMTs), paramedics, nurses, and physicians. It is often the first level of care provided until more advanced medical support arrives.

Certifications are typically valid for two years. After this, individuals are required to renew their certification by completing a BLS renewal course, which includes updated training on CPR techniques, AED use, and other relevant skills.

Maintaining an BLS certification is often a requirement for healthcare professionals who work in settings where these skills are necessary, such as hospitals, clinics, and emergency medical services. Some employers may have specific requirements regarding the timing of certification renewal, so it's essential for individuals to check with their employer or the certifying organization for any specific guidelines or requirements.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) builds upon the foundation of Basic Life Support (BLS) and is designed for healthcare professionals who are already proficient in BLS techniques. ACLS focuses on the management of more complex cardiovascular emergencies, particularly cardiac arrest, acute coronary syndromes, stroke, and other life-threatening medical conditions.

ACLS interventions include advanced airway management, intravenous access, administration of medications such as vasopressors, antiarrhythmics, and thrombolytics, as well as the interpretation of electrocardiograms (ECGs). ACLS providers are typically healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, and respiratory therapists who work in settings like emergency departments, critical care units, and cardiac care units.

Certifications are typically valid for two years. Similar to BLS, individuals must renew their ACLS certification by completing an ACLS renewal course before the expiration date. These renewal courses often include updated guidelines, algorithms, and training on advanced cardiac life support interventions.
Maintaining an ACLS certification is often a requirement for healthcare professionals who work in settings where these skills are necessary, such as hospitals, clinics, and emergency medical services. Some employers may have specific requirements regarding the timing of certification renewal, so it's essential for individuals to check with their employer or the certifying organization for any specific guidelines or requirements.
Through our ACLS course, you will:

Watch training videos and complete online modules at your own pace

You can pause, resume, and go back to any section you would like!
